Nestled at the base of the Selkirk Mountains in North Idaho's Panhandle region, the community of Sandpoint can be found 60 miles south of the Canadian border and 75 miles northeast of Spokane, Washington. With a population of approximately 7,000 residents, Sandpoint is located in a land of uncompromising natural beauty on the northern shore of Lake Pend Oreille (pronounced Pon-der-ray) A spectacular, glaciated body of water 43 miles long, Pend Oreille is the fifth deepest lake (1,158 feet at its greatest depth) in the United States with 111 miles of shoreline. Its pristine waters are a major factor in the community of Sandpoint's high ranking as a premier tourist destination. -------- Every month we host "DINE OUT FOR A CAUSE". We have lived and traveled many places, but few have captured us
quite like Sandpoint, Idaho has. Sandpoint's small but active
downtown is always a fun place to meet new people, see familiar
faces and frequent the numerous shops and restaurants. The
Sandpoint area offers year round activities for the outdoor
enthusiasts. In the warmer months, the beautiful waters of Lake
Pend d'Oreille (pronounced Pon-der-ray) offer boating, fishing,
swimming, beauty and tranquility. The slopes of Schweitzer Mountain
Ski resort are always blanketed in fresh snow, their diverse terrain
and short lift lines makes Schweitzer Mountain our favorite ski resort.

Zany Zebra - This fun and local retailer is a great spot to stop during your day of shopping downtown Sandpoint.
Main Street Music - Ever wonder what happened to those local music/record shops? This is it, we love this place, one the few
remaining small record shops. Have fun flipping through the music. Located at 111 Main St. Call for hours of operation.
Winter Ridge Natural Foods - Great selection of natural and organic foods and products. We love their deli and beer
selection. Located at 703 Lake St. Call for hours of operation.
Eichardts Pub and Grill - A must visit while in Sandpoint, this charming bar is one of our favorite spots. Great food and great
beer, this is one of the places that we eat when we have time. Located at 212 Cedar St. Open daily at 11:30am.
Under the Sun- A really cute, and fun place to shop. This tore looks like it belongs in a metropolitan area. Cute gifts, clothes and
decorations. 7178 Main Street, Bonners Ferry, ID
Bangkok Cuisine - Got a hankering for some good Thai food, we recommend this place for great Thai treats. Located at 202 N.
2nd Ave. Call for hours of operation.
Ivano's Ristorante - Great Italian food, we wouldn't recommend any other place for Italian food, one of our favorites. Located at
102 S. 1st Ave. Call for hours of operation.
La Quinta Inn - An affordable and nice hotel to stay, located right downtown Sandpoint, Idaho. Located at 415 Cedar St. Call for
reservations.
K2 Inn - This local inn is a great hotel to stay in. The rooms are clean and nicely priced, great place to stay before you hit the slopes!
Located at 501 N. 4th St.
7B Board Shop - A great local shop for skateboards and gear. Check the shop out at 210 N. 2nd Ave.
Mischievous Moose - Locally made natural skin care products and tasty sweets. You'll think twice before using that soap after
using theirs. Located at 323 South Boyer Ave.
BuyLocalSandpoint.com - Why not support the local community, ignore those big box office chains, you can find those generic
stores anywhere. We do, we don't even step foot in those giant box coffee chains (unfortunately we have three in the area) or the other

Ouchie Mama Tattoo - Great, clean and fun local tattoo and piercing shop. Stop by for a touch up, fill or that piercing. John or
Crystalyn will take good care of you. (John is the local health code inspector, so I guarantee it's the cleanest tattoo parlor in the area!)
